I even had a pair of earrings that were BLACK with tarnish. It does seem that it works differently on different items that are sterling though. I ordered this to clean up a two tone gold watch that I hadn't worn in 20 years and that had been sitting in a bowl where I throw keys and change. It wasn't too horrible, but it had a lot of small scratches. This cloth cleaned the gold and stainless bracelet quite nicely. There were a few larger scratches at the bracelet clasp which didn't come out, but those aren't visible since the clasp is at the bottom of my wrist out of sight. The watch, which I now wear daily, really looks great. Thumbs up.

I had read all the reviews about this necklace, but it was so pretty I thought I would take a chance on it. The necklace itself is beautiful, and I don't think the chain looked cheap at all. However as soon as I put it on I knew I was going to have to send it back. The whole pendant leans forward instead of flush against your skin. It creates a very akward looking profile from the side and just does not present itself well from the front. I immediantly stuck it back in the bag and contacted PearlsOnly thru email. The returns process was very easy and Julie from PearlsOnly answered all my emails in a very timley manner. I mailed the necklace back on 1/13/10 and received an email notifying me of my refund on 1/22/10. I wish this would have worked out because the necklace is very beautiful and appeared to be of very nice quality. The extras sent along were also a nice touch, however it just couldn't make up for the way it hangs.

I tried one of these wipes at a friend's house. I had brought over a vintage DAR pin that had a bit of tarnish on it. My friend had a container of Connoisseurs Jewelry Wipes and went to work. The pin looked like new in just a few minutes. She gave me a couple of the wipes "for the road," and I cleaned silver jewelry that I had not worn in months. I neglected my silver jewelry for too long and a few were VERY black and tarnished.

First, I dunked the silver into baking soda/salt dissolved in hot water in a plate of aluminum foil to help lessen the tarnish but after several attempts, it was still dull and dark in spots.

The wipes came to the rescue! My silver pendant looks shiny and new after just 1 wipe and it helps get into the small nooks and corners. I am very satisfied and happy with the product! Highly recommended.

When I first got this jar, I kept getting the urge to wet down the wipes (they are supposed to be dry). I think I'm just so use to wipes in these kinds of containers to be wet and heavy. I had a pair of silver earrings that had tarnished very badly and were in much need of some TLC. I pulled out a wipe and rubbed the earrings down with it. These wipes even removed the tarnish in the delicate hinge areas. The size of the wipes is not very big, but you don't need a huge one to get the job done. One single wipe will go a long way.

I bought this music box for my 5 year old daughter for Christmas. Although she had so many other gifts, she said that this is the best gift of them all. The pictures on the music box is beautifully colored and the quality of the workmanship is outstanding. It is nicely put together and sturdy. A lot of attention to detail was put into this box. There are four pull out drawers. A small drawer on each the right and left side. One in the front of the box (I wish the front drawer was a little deeper) and one in the back of the box. This is the reason the front drawer does not go back deeper because the bottom space is split between the front drawer and the back drawer. When you open the lid or top of the box, there is a mirror, and a white horse that spins as the music plays. To play the music you wind up or turn the gold knob at the back. A gold colored top latch, and gold round pull out knobs for the drawers completes this beautiful box.

My only negative to report is that the chain is very prone to tangle, especially if you sleep with the necklace on :) Also, those pashmina scarves that are all the rage should not be worn with this chain-for some reason it ALWAYS nicks my scarf and puts a small "run" in the scarf.

Finally, the wishbone is just a little bigger than I expected, but looks good anyway! :)

Plastic watch crystals scratch very

easily with the result that they soon

look unattractive.

Replacement of the crystal is not

normally possible, especially where

watches have plastic cases.

THE SOLUTION

Watch owners the world over suffer from

this sort of problem, but now polyWatch,

a new type of special-purpose polishing paste,

offers them an extraordinarily simple solution.

For the first time, consumers can remove

scratches rapidly and cheaply from their

plastic watch crystal by carrying out an

easy-to-follow "do-it-yourself" procedure.

Apply polyWatch to the watch crystal.

Polish the scratched areas for 2-3 minutes

with great pressure at a right angle to the

scratches, using a piece of cotton wool.

Deep scratches need to be treated more

than once. Finally, remove any remaining

polyWatch with a cloth.

The tube contents of 5 ml is sufficient

for approximately 10 uses.

The plastic glass is very slightly dissolved

and ground down by tiny abrasive particles.

The edges of the scratch marks are then

smoothed off and the cracks filled in with

some of the original plastic from the watch crystal.

I received and old timex watch from my fathers estate. The crystal was totally glazed over with scratches. Nice looking watch, but you couldn't read the dial. I recently purchased a Swatch watch as a gift. Shortly thereafter the face got two scratches. They were deep enough that you could feel them with your finger. Before trying anything else I looked to see how to possibly remove them and stumbled across this product. I ordered it from Amazon and gave it a try. Just put a couple of drops on the face and rubbed it with a cotton ball for a minute or two. Wiped it off with a fresh cotton ball and it looked like new...no trace of a scratch. It worked better than expected.

I had read the reviews of this product and decided to get it. Polywatch removed the deep and plentiful scratches on 2 of my acrylic watch crystals. It took two applications, (actually took very little time and effort) but they came out beautiful (97%perfect-no exaggeration) These crystals are old enough and oddly shaped enough that crystal replacement may have been an issue. It took the dingy, dull attitude about the watches and made them a pleasure to wear again, instead of saying "ho hum I guess I'll use this watch because it goes with what I am wearing" to "I'll use this one because it looks sharp".

I'm a huge fan of Colbert, and I needed this bracelet! I absolutely love it...it's much cooler than those Livestrong bracelets.

As with some of the other products I bought from amazon, the shipping and handling was a bit high. When I got my bracelet, the box was triple the size it needed to be, and there were 2 large air packs to "protect" the thing from getting damaged, I guess.

To save both the company and the customer, why not just send it out in a envelope? The only way it could get damaged is if it was set on fire or something. It's made of rubber, and it's very durable, so...

The jewelry box arrived much earlier than I expected. I am very pleased with its appearance, though I should have read carefully that it is made of both real and synthetic leather (the untrained eye cannot tell that it is fake-- don't be concerned with that). There is lots of space and is a great place to keep your nicer pieces of jewelry. My only real complaint is that the sides that open up with hooks for necklaces are not long enough to hang a strand of pearls without having to have them coiled at the bottom (which is why I wanted the hook). However, most necklaces should fit laying down without too much bending/coiling.

The Jewelry box is nice. The only thing I dislike is the picture was misleading about how it would look. The very bottom piece doesn't slide out, it folds up and completely covers all the drawers unless you have it wide open. It's more like a little suitcase than anything else.

The problem was that it took 2 full weeks for my product to arrive. Then I opened it and it was something else. They sent me the wrong item. I emailed them to let them know and after several emails explaining they sent me the WRONG Thing they aggreed to send me my item. It took another two weeks. Then another week for them to send me shipping label to return the first item. It was terrible service. Not recommended for anyone.

Anyway, I never pursued a refund or anything like that. I just ate the cost and wrote a negative comment. Someone at Shining Image found my comment and took immediate action. They contacted me and offered me a full refund, which I received today! I am very happy to get that back, and while I may not take another chance on the box, I would be willing to buy from Shining Image again someday. The drawers are nice, could be a bit thicker. Also the side panels that fold out for the necklaces are quite thin. Over all, lots of storage for the money.

Two biggest drawbacks are the inside top with the mirror, as others have reported, continually falls out and needed to be re-glued in. Also the "travel" box is quite small, ok for a small necklace or two, a few rings and some earrings, but no room for bracelets or larger necklaces.

I am not sure if this does what it says it does....I mean...I have an ultra sonic tank and I use this stuff but I can't always get it to smell right...my watch smells like sweat when I don't wash it...stainless band...this stuff makes it smell alright for a day...but so does water, but I leave everything in there from when I go to sleep, then when I wake up, I put it on after it dries...but I don't know, I don't have anything to put this up against...but if I run out...I might buy it again..like i said...a day...and it doesn't cost an arm and a leg :)

I purchased this concentrated cleaner, based upon the other reviews, for use in an ultrasonic jewelry cleaning unit. The picture of the cleaner on the Amazon website is labeled as "concentrate" and in a tall slender bottle. The package that I received is in a short, standard size undiluted cleaner container for direct placement of jewelry - it even contains the standard basket and mini-brush. The container has an overlay of a label that says "concentrate," but I don't know if that was placed there by the merchant that shipped it (Living Essentials), or Blitz. Also, I don't know if what I received is really the concentrate version or the full strength solution. If it is the concentrate, I don't know the recommended dilution to use, since it is not in the concentrate bottle and the directions on the container state to place jewelry in the basket and agitate gently for 3 minutes. I cannot attest to the efficacy of the product, as I have not used it to clean jewelry and am still debating about if/how I should use it, diluted or undiluted.

I really like to St. Jude bracelet but you have to be careful not to stretch it so far because it's not real jewelery quality. Everyone that I know that is not a Twilight fan love the look of the Turquoise bracelet. The only thing I'm disappointed about is the bulkiness of the Opal ring jewel. It really big compare to what a standard Opal jewel looks like. But it's most likely that way because it not real jewelery, it is a 'toy'. This thing has about 3 rings for each size, e.g. 7, 7-, 7=. I have no idea what 7- and 7= are, but they seem to be slighly smaller or larger than a half size. It seems to be designed around "circumference measurements" as they increment by 1 on each sizer (41-76). Then they just picked the closest one for the US size. So the US sizes are not exact.

It will do the job but I'm not impressed.

It is not bent at all to go around the ring so it sticks way out but it short and is too painful to wear-just cheap plastic tubing with slit. I think it is more for a ring that is like 6 sizes too big but I still don't see how it could ever be comfortable. I tried it for a few hours and i scratched my face with it 3 times. It is like wedging a piece or hard plastic between the ring and your finger, so either the open edge with the sharp edges is on your finger (which is impossible) or you have to have it facing outward where you scratch everything else! Doesn't work at all.

My wife and I went with wide, tungsten carbide bands for our wedding bands. I tried on a tungsten carbide ring at the jeweler to get an idea of my ring size (~7-7.5) and ended up ripping skin off of my knuckle when I tried to remove the ring. So instead I ordered a 7.5 size band. When I got it it ended up slipping off my knuckles on most colder days and hoola-hooping around my much narrower finger. Being formerly of the mechanic trade, I have knuckles that are rather much larger than the rest of my fingers and so although the 7.5 fits snugly around my knuckle, there were days when it would simply slip off and the rest of the time was very loose and uncomfortable to wear. I don't know if you've ever tried to find a "metal" alternative for a tungsten carbide ring sizer, but if you have or are looking, I wish you the best of luck because you're not likely to find one either on Amazon or anywhere else. Which made the "ring snuggies" and similar "cheap, pvc tubing" ring adjusters pretty much my only option.

I got these today in the mail and I have to say that I am absolutely loving them! I had to use the largest size in the package and it doesn't fit squarely around my ring but I think that might, in its own way, be better. I flipped the snuggie once it was on my ring so that the round, uncut side of the pvc tubing faces my finger and there is absolutely no discomfort to wearing it and it fixes the annoying "looseness" of my ring previously. I can now wear my ring with the confidence that it won't fly off my finger if I flick my hand too hard. I would highly recommend these if you have a band that is made out of an alternative/rare metal and or a very wide band as the selection of metal resizers seems to be limited for people with similar rings.

The diamond is extremely small and does not stand out like it does in the picture. Its appearance is similar to a necklace you get out of one of those machines with plastic eggs that have toy jewelry inside. When the necklace is worn, the diamond is barely noticeable because it is so small - it looks like you're just wearing a chain. The chain is very thin - I have never seen such a thin chain. The measurement listed, 35 mm, is from the tip of the dangle to the tip of the fishhook that goes through your ear; the dangle or charm itself is about 25 mm. My husband bought this for me for my Birthday just this last November(my birthday was thanksgiving), but I didnt even receive it for almost a whole two weeks after my birthday. There are little black specks and blackish wear marks (like it's a cheap electroplate, not solid silver)and the finish is actually pitted. In contrary to their cheap looking 2ct rings, these earring are actually look really nice. Even though the mount for these earring looks as bad as their rings, when you put them on, you can barely notice it. The sparkle of the cubic zicronia look really nice. I bought some crystal earrings from Swaroviski before, these look better for 1/50 of the price (not to mention it's 1/1000 of the price for really diamond).

They are tiny but for thirty dollars what can you expect for diamonds? The princess cut shows off more of the small diamond than a round cut. I bought them for my mom for christmas for her second earlobe piercing. They add just enough sparkle to accent her main earrings. She loves them and for an earring that small, grade doesn't really matter. I would recommend these for anyone looking for a small accent earring.

I have only used this cloth to clean my silver jewelry (mostly necklaces and pendants).

Pro:

-cleans better than the baking soda/hot water method. Actually made my jewelry SHINE instead of just appearing silver-white.

Cons:

-Residue from the cloth gets on the hands (I'm not talking about tarnish). I assume the feeling is from whatever they treated the cloth to make it take off tarnish. But still, I feel the need to wash my hands with ample soap after every cleaning.

-Polishing the detailing and crevices on pendants requires dedication and dexterity. Small fingers or creative use of fingernails also help.

-doesn't clean delicate chains as well as I like, since the method I use is by pulling my silver chains against the cloth. Just feels like I'll break the chain if I pull too hard. However, box chains and snake chains can definitely survived this method of cleaning.

Other:

-While the cloth is effective in getting rid of tarnish, out of curiosity, I tested it with new silver chains that I had just bought. The same black streaks showed up on the cloth, as if the chains were tarnished. The only explanation I have is that the cloth is taking off invisible tarnish or dirt and not just randomly reacting to the silver... This experiment shows that the cloth can't be your indicator that you've polished off all the tarnish. The only gauge for that is your eyes.

Due to its small size, the cloth is relatively good at cleaning a few small items, i.e. spoons and the like. Ok for lightly tarnished small items when done with lots of rubbing. Yet, it very quickly absorbs the tarnish and is not longer effective. (And, yes, the tarnish does get on your hands.) I suggest spending a bit more and getting a larger size. Regardless of product claims, once these cloths gets 'goopy', give 'em up.

The SUNSHINE POLISHING CLOTH is fantastic! I bought it because I purchased some silver jewelry that suggests using a polishing cloth rather than a liquid or wax silver cleaner and this little cloth really cleans.

I used the cloth on a pair of silver bangle bracelets that had tarnished while in storage, you know just to test it out, and as soon as I started gently rubbing the tarnish came off and the silver was sparkling like new. I was amazed that this could be done without some form of detergent or silver polishing cream.

The SUNSHINE CLOTH comes in a cardboard holder that looks like an envelop, to store when not in use. There are no instructions but all you have to do is rub with the dry cloth and the tarnish gets wiped away.

I don't think that the cloth can be washed once it becomes really dirty but it looks like that will take many, many cleanings for that to happen. I'm glad I found these!

Another reviewer said her relative who is a professional jeweler only uses this cloth on silver. That's why I tried it and does an awesome cleaning job without a lot of effort. I bought an inexpensive diamond "chips" ring set in sterling. It has a floral detail in the design with a lot of tweeny weeny crevices. The oxidation in the setting took away from the beauty of the diamond chips. I cleaned it with this cloth and the ring looks much better than when I purchased it. The ring sparkles now. It completely cleaned in all those crevices and tiny bead settings. The cloth even continues to clean when it is "dirty". I getting ready to purchase some more.

This polishing cloth is awesome. I used it on a David Yurman bracelet, and the bracelet looks brand new without removing any of the oxidation. I would agree with the others that it would be best if you wear gloves especially if the items you are cleaning are very tarnished. Excellent purchase.

I read the negative review regarding the accuracy not being good enough for reloading use. I use this scale and the 0.2 grain error is no problem. Let me explain how I use this and this method should be used with any scale. With something as serious as measuring gunpowder into cartridges, I never trust any scale so I verify the measurement in this way. Let's say I need 6 grains of powder. I set the powder measure up to throw a single 6 grain charge as measured with this scale. That could actually be 5.8 to 6.2 grains which is unacceptable. I then throw ten charges and measure that. I should read around 60 grains but now the error range is 59.8 to 60.2 or 5.98 to 6.02 per single charge. I make slight adjustments to the powder measure device until 10 charges is equal to 60 grains. I am now within .02 grains per charge which is highly acceptable. The scale has performed flawlessly for me and I use it exclusively instead of my RCBS analog scale. I have also made comparison measurements with this and the RCBS with no appreciable difference between the scales. When used properly, the limitations of this ( or any) scale can be improved simply by utilizing a different method. Overall, this is a great deal for the price.

I've owned this little China-made scale for more than a year now. Though certainly not in the same league as my laboratory grade Ohaus digital and my student grade Ohaus digital scales, in at least one respect, this little guy outperforms these much more expensive scales. That respect is the tendency of the Ohaus scales weight reading(s) to creep. On the other hand, the AMW-100 reading is unwavering. It works as well today as it did on the day it arrived and I can comfortably recommend this both as a great scale and a great value.

This is a very consistent gram balance for small increments in home application. However, if you use a heavy scale pan this will rapidly lose its reliability beyond 25g. I use this mainly for measuring coffee and tea with +/- 0.02g certainty below 30g but stick to more expensive, reliable analytical scales for measuring reagents. I'd suggest to keep a calibration weight handy (I believe it is possible to buy this with a calibration weight included).

Another point that becomes a little irritating is this burns through batteries like crazy. Would be nice to have a plug-in option for this reason and I'm actually considering buying a larger centigram balance to make up for it.

On the positives side, you get a lot from this little guy for pretty darn cheap.

Very compact (size of first wave of smartphones and fits easily in pockets), reliable for the price, easy to clean, easily tared, provides multiple measures, can retain calibration despite being moved or shaken lightly (wouldn't trust jostling on any precision scale), is not damaged by light dripping of water, the lighted display is clear and easy to read either in light or dark, and locking cover is easy to open/close.

The chain was purchased to replace a white gold chain that had stretched and broken. The chain was shipped quickly and appears as pictured. However, the chain caused a metal allergy severe enough that it can't be worn any longer. The recipient has several other solid silver chains which cause no problems at all; she also has a confirmed metal sensitivity to nickel. I'm not saying the chain is not silver (just suggesting) but there does seem to be something fishy when other solid silver chains cause no problems and this chain causes allergic reactions. The chain was cheap enough that I won't be returning it (return shipping would be too great a percentage of original purchase price) but I will be looking to buy a replacement chain from elsewhere and re-gifting this one.

For those complaining about tarnish, remember that it's silver and needs to be polished as such. I have a few pieces from Silpada (which you may know is VERY expensive for what it is, not close to worth it in my book!) and those tarnish as well and have to be polished.

Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase.

Well, the chain by itself is good & durable.. looks pretty too. However, I broke my previous chain is why I ordered it. That was way thinner, a lil less shiny so looked more original.. this is as shiny as a spoon... I kept it coz returning is like loosing 50% of money and getting nothing.
